As part of the 55th International Trade Fair of Crafts and Entrepreneurship in Celje, the "Intersection of Science and Economy" will once again be on display from 13th to 17th September, as a project of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation.

In one place, top-notch technologies, innovations, and products from various fields such as mechatronics, automation, robotics, professional electronics, energy, information technology, bionics, nanotechnology, space technologies, and more will be presented. Each year, the intersection attracts significant interest from visitors, especially students. The intersection has been successfully organized under the joint Ministry of Education, Science, and Sport in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2022.

The presentation, led by Janez Škrlec (former member of the Council for Science and Technology), has been part of the ministry's activities for several years. This year's presentation would encompass showcasing new technologies, technological processes, high-tech innovations, as well as modern professions and contemporary educational programs. The intersection, located in Hall L of the Celje Fairgrounds, will primarily focus on the field of micro, bio, and nanotechnologies, new materials, new technological processes, and space technologies. Major Slovenian research and educational institutions, as well as high-tech companies, will present their work and scientific findings.

The "Intersection of Science and Economy" is an opportunity to promote Slovenian scientific achievements and facilitate closer collaboration between the scientific and economic spheres. It also showcases examples of successful past collaborations. The intersection also serves as a catalyst for increased market competitiveness. The presentation is also focused on digitalization, digital transformation, new business models, Industry 4.0, the upcoming Industry 5.0, and "Society 5.0."
